PORT ARANSAS JETTY - PORT ARANSAS, TX

     The Port Aransas Jetty is a granite boulder jetty located in Port Aransas, TX on North Padre Island along the Gulf of Mexico.  SE and ESE are the prevalent winds during the spring and summer, with winds coming on more during the later afternoon and early evening.  Wind Speeds in the low to high teens on average during these warmer months, but many days above +20 mph during the spring/summer as well. 
     Mushy beach break surf with best waves between the  Jetty and either side of Horace Caldwell Pier.   During the fall, winter, and early spring the North winds blow side shore up to +30 mph over the jetty allowing for clean and glassy riding conditions.
