FISH PASS

FISH PASS - PORT ARANSAS, TX

Fish Pass is located on North Padre Island  on Hwy 361 between Corpus Christi & Port Aransas and is accessed down a caliche road that runs parallel to the channel.   The road is sometimes covered with water, but is hard packed and access for vehicles with clearance is possible usually throughout the year.  SE and ESE winds are offshore here with significant gust variance.  Best wind directions are N, NW, and West winds during the fall, winter, and early spring.  The launch site is relatively small but open with direct accces to the water.
As the name implies, this is a local fishing hole that can be quite busy at times with fisherman, kayakers, and recreational users, so please be respectful and courteous.

What Our Students Are Saying

Olivia B. (Google) - Tom was awesome! I was a beginner/intermediate kiter hopping to become fully independent, and Tom was great at getting me there in my 2 hour lesson! By the end of the lesson I was confidently riding up wind and turning. My brother also took a few lessons with him and went from a first timer rider to an independent rider within those lessons. I highly recommend!
Olga & Travis M. (Trip Advisor) - My husband and I had a great experience with the staff of 361 Kite in Corpus Christi when taking first time kitesurf lessons in October and November of 2014. Our instructor Tom walked us through all the basic technical matters and important safety concerns before our practices. Tom really cares about the success of his students.
Thurston O. (Yelp) - Tom is an excellent instructor in teaching beginners and explaining how it works. He'll walk you through all the steps, go over all the safety, and get you out practicing in the water on the first lesson!
